LaDainian Tomlinson finally made his choice today: the New York Jets. Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Jets and Tomlinson agreed upon a two-year deal. This past week, L.T. visited both the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Jets, but finally agreed to join the backfield of the Jets. He will join Shonn Greene in the backfield, and hopefully replace some of Thomas Jones' production. Jones, who spent the past three years as a Jet, was released this off season and has since then joined the Kansas City Chiefs.

I don't really understand this move... The Jets gave up on a running back that outproduced L.T. this past year because they didn't want to pay him the bonus, and now replace him with someone who clearly is running on an empty tank. I feel that they could have addressed the RB position in the draft if they really felt they needed a change and this may come back to bite them if L.T. shows that he is done. I do believe that it was a good move for L.T. to pick the Jets over the Vikes because I do believe that the Jets will remain contenders while the Vikes may take a step back if Favre does not return.
