So, this was a great day! I rubbed shoulders with some of NFL's top execs and Head Coaches... Including the likes of Tom Coughlin, Mike Tomlin, and Zeke Bratkowski, who as many of you know, has been helping former Florida QB Tim Tebow with his throwing mechanics. I will be uploading audio and video of all todays events, but for a quick recap:
Joe Haden: A lot of questions were swirling around his performance during the draft, and he told me that a lot of it had to do with an injury that occurred to his lower back. He looked fluid, and most importantly, fast. He started the day by running between 4.37 and 4.42 unofficially, but officially it ended up being 4.45, which was very good considering the disappoint he had at the NFL Combine. He looked great during individual drills, showing his ability to high point the ball, and looked tremendously quick throughout his shuttle drills. He has cemented himself in the Top 10.
Brandon Spikes: He could not do anything more to hurt his stock than run a 5.02 and 5.08 unofficially in the 40 yard dash. He tremendously hurt his stock as a player who had recently visited with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who own the 18th overall pick, as well as the New York Giants, who hold the 15th pick. He did look decent in the drills considering the miserable weather conditions though.
