30. Minnesota Vikings (12-4)
QB Colt McCoy (Texas)
The Minnesota Vikings can't sit around waiting for Brett Favre's decision to play or not much longer. With the drafting of Colt McCoy, they get a player who was once considered an elite NFL prospect. Their were some health concerns, but McCoy had a great performance at his Pro Day, and showed that he has fully recovered from the pinched nerve that knocked him out of the Championship game last year.

Why he's good for the Vikings:
The Vikings are in bad shape if Favre decides to retire, as they have no depth behind him. Tavaris Jackson showed them already that he can't be a full-time starter, and Sage Rosenfels is a 3rd-stringer at best. The Vikings need to improve their QB position if they hope to compete every year, so this is a great choice for them.

LaDainian Tomlinson finally made his choice today: the New York Jets. Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Jets and Tomlinson agreed upon a two-year deal. This past week, L.T. visited both the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Jets, but finally agreed to join the backfield of the Jets. He will join Shonn Greene in the backfield, and hopefully replace some of Thomas Jones' production. Jones, who spent the past three years as a Jet, was released this off season and has since then joined the Kansas City Chiefs.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers(3-13)
Now, I know I may get a little bit of heat for this because the consensus says that Tennessee's S, Eric Berry, should be drafted here. But, my feeling is that the Bucs' main problem last year was not the pass defense, but their rushing defense. The Bucs ranked 32nd in the league allowing 158 yards/game on the ground and their interior lineman did not help the defense out at all. DT Chris Hovan is getting old and never was the force that he was when he was with the Minnesota Vikings. McCoy instantly makes the defensive line better because he is very disruptive, has the ability to collapse the pocket, and can take on two blockers in order to help free up linebackers. He will be able to add more mass and develop more strength to become an even bigger force when he gets to the league. He has great quickness and the ability to get off of blocks fast with good hands.
Why he's good for the Bucs:
As I said before, he has the ability to help a rushing defense that is in desperate need of an interior lineman. He gives the linebackers the ability to make plays, and will help even though Tampa 2 tends to be light against the run. He will also provide a better pass rush from the interior line and command double teams to help the DEs out. He reminds me of a Kevin Williams type pass rusher, very disruptive and a playmaker.
